Sungyeol gasped as Myungsoo pushed him against a wall and then brought their lips together for a messy kiss of teeth against teeth and teeth against lips. "I promise that I will help you become king," he whispered into the older's ear as the two broke apart for air.
Sungyeol grimaced as he wiped at his mouth - his hand pulled away to reveal crimson, and as he licked his lips he could taste the familiar flavor of iron. "Myungsoo, i-it's fine, really. D-Dongwoo's doing a fine job as it is; he's right in the next room dining; look, t-there's no reason to go so far as to-" Myungsoo silenced the older with another connection of lips and teeth before Sungyeol pushed him away. "Fuck, Myungsoo, stop and listen to me."
Myungsoo stared blankly ahead as Sungyeol adjusted his clothing. "No, Sungyeol, you listen to me." His eyes were like pools of bottomless black as he averted his focus back onto the older. "You were the one who sent me the letter of prophecy; you're the one who is destined to become king. And I'll be damned if you don't get what's rightfully yours just because you're too much of a coward to go after what you really want."
Sungyeol took in a gulp of air, adam's apple bobbing as he did so, as Myungsoo began nipping at his neck, leaving behind a trail of love bites in his wake. There was silence as the tension in the room began to build up, and eventually Sungyeol couldn't bear it anymore. He pushed Myungsoo away for the second time and shook his head hurriedly. "We'll proceed no further in this business. Dongwoo's been kind to not only me, but to both of us. We've been gaining respect from those around us too. Let's not allow for all of that to fall down the drain so easily."
Myungsoo threw his head back and laughed a piercing laugh that caused Sungyeol to tremble slightly where he stood. "Yah, Sungyeol..." The younger man quickly ran a hand through his hair before licking his lips and gazing intently at the older. "Are you a coward or a man? As a man, you shouldn't be afraid to take action and follow through on your earlier promise-"
"But what if we should fail?" Sungyeol interrupted, sneaking a glance at the door - the only thing separating Myungsoo and him from their potential target.
"We fail? Grow some balls and we won't fail, my dear." Myungsoo laughed harshly again before walking closer to the older, allowing a hand to stroke the other's cheek. "As Dongwoo sleeps in our guest room, I'll make sure to drug his attendants. Then, while they're busy drifting in between the threads of reality and dream, you go and perform the deed on the unguarded Dongwoo."
"And then-"
"And then we'll leave the sullied daggers in the hands of the attendants, who will be none the wiser." Myungsoo's mouth curved at the edges as he pulled Sungyeol's face closer to his. "Alright?"
"... Alright," Sungyeol admitted finally. "Alright."
"Good," Myungsoo placed a chaste kiss to his lips before allowing a grin to spread across his face that made him appear almost child-like; it was an innocent smile that belayed nothing about the plan he had just concocted. "Now, let us return to dinner with the king who will soon be no more."
