Catching up
Well I have not posted in several days. Busy, Busy, Busy.
Drove out to Lake Jackson to take my grandparents out for Father's Day. They like this place in Oyster Creek which is near Freeport and the beach. It was quite crowded so I'm glad they made reservations. I think it is only a marginal place, but they really like it. Had to cancel a movie outing with a friend when they decided that they wanted me to come out after all. Suffered a torrential rain and hail that afternoon and then went for my voice lesson. It had not even rained at Claudia's place and she does not live that far away.
Monday and Wednesday I had lunch with Peter a LJ friend that works in my industry. He was working at a client's office in the next building. It was nice to put a face to posts and nice to have a closer friend. Posts mean a lot more when you know the person posting. In the last couple of months I have met 3 LJ people in person. I think that is pretty cool.
The boss announced this morning that they are hiring a new supervisor and splitting his group up. My portion will go to the new guy. They are posting the job today but my group leader thinks they already have someone in mind. I hope the person likes consultants.
