[Sitting on the edge of the thermal pools is Grapple, a sombre expression on her face and her journal in her hand.]
Y'know, I never had much of a home. And whatever I find I kinda just... lose again. Kinda getting sick of it.
[Welp, someone is feeling down. She sighs and forces herself to pep up a bit.]
Still, I'm alive. Saved again from whatever the

Nope. Nothing. Nothing at all.
Still, she's out flying this evening, enjoying the play of much cooler air on her wings and the general sense of freedom it allows. True, when she flew Circuits back home it was, in essence, a self-imposed punishment, but it was also the only time she could get away entirely from the cruelty of her Wing mates.
She had spied the thermal pools on a previous outing and, despite what people might think, gryphons rather enjoyed thermal pools. They were a rare, often magic formed, treat back in Velgarth. She heads that way now, cutting through the air and descending when she doesn't see anyone else at them.
No .. she wasn't at all avoiding people, was she?
Several strong back beats and the gryphon lands otherwise silently. Her ear tufts flick this way and that, followed by her alert golden gaze, as she searches once more for anyone that might be approaching. Grapple is entirely hidden to her, although there is a nagging sensation in the back of her mind that says something isn't quite as it seems.
However, the gryphon has been long in need of a bit of relaxation and she pads toward one of the pools. Luckily for Grapple, it wasn't the one she was in, but was right next door. Zhaneel pads down the stone steps that lead into the steaming water, a soft sigh escaping her beak as inner lids flick quickly over her eyes.
Hav you ever seen a bird in a bird bath, Grapple? Prepare for that, but 1000x larger. Her feathered half fluffs up and submerged she goes, sputtering up a moment later as she lets the water roll down her neck and onto her wings. This continues for several minutes, water droplets flying in various directions as she fans and spreads her wings.
When her fur is well and truly drenched, feathers no longer repelling the water, she practically coos in delight. She's not quite ready to get out, though, and is soaking past her keel bone (mid chest on a human) with her eyes half-lidded.]

But, there were others at the facility where she'd trained, and many of them, herself included, were in close connection to one of these creatures. Carefully, Grapple materializes.]
You are so damn cute.
[The words are quiet, more a whisper of awe to herself than to Zhaneel.]

So, she settles in the water again, dripping, and eyes Grapple dubiously, finally taking in her words and pausing to look behind herself. There's also the fact that she recognizes Grapple's voice, and that settles her just a bit.]
Sssorry .. I did not mean to .. you sstartled me.
[A brief pause and her wet ear tufts flick forward and she moves to climb out of the pool. She is slow stepping, but she makes her way toward Grapple's pool, but is careful not to crowd her.]
You .. you are Grapple?

Yeah, that's me. Zhaneel, right?
[Have yourself a warm smile, Zhaneel.]

[She bobs her head once in acknowledgment before her head tilts slightly to one side, golden eyes unblinking. She is a soggy, dripping mess, but seems little bothered by the fact at the moment.]
How .. how was it you made yourself invisible? You were here the whole time, but I did not see you ..
[The smile helps, Grapple, honest. She's far less likely to just run away right now.]

I've uh... got a few little tricks. I can be unseen if I choose to be.
[Is vague okay, Zhaneel?]
