It's official!
I am officially employed by Hawaiian Airlines! Yesterday was my official hire date, which means that my probation ends December 8. Not soon enough! The only unfortunate thing at this point is that I have to work the day after Thanksgiving (no sales for me this year), Christmas morning, and New Years Day if I can't get it switched. We work no matter what the holiday is. But considering the fact that the girls spend Christmas morning with their father and I will always be off work by about 10am - no complaining here!
So I start on Thursday, and - can you believe it - I am actually getting paid for it! Finally! I will work five days and then get paid next week, which will really help me to catch up on some bills that are falling behind. Between Hawaiian, photography, and my tax refund, I should do really well for the next couple of months. Which puts me in exactly the position I was hoping for - ready to move out! I'm hoping to be in an apartment by August 1st or so, but I don't even know how I am going to wait that long. Maybe mid-July instead? It all kind of depends on when I get my tax refund because that was what I was going to use to put a down payment on the apartment.
I want to take the girls to Hawaii in the next couple of weeks, I just have to get the money together for the hotel, a little food, and some transportation. I can probably swing it after I finish Danielle's wedding. Staying two nights would be awesome, but we will see.
