Something to remember for my wedding contract...
I thought my wedding contract was obnoxiously long and stuffed with every single possible thing that anyone could think of, but it seems I missed something.
My most recent client paid a $650 deposit last week, and she called to tell me that her check had not gone through. Yikes. I messaged her to ask that she deposit the money - plus my bank fee - into my bank tomorrow. Otherwise, my rent check will bounce - arg. In my contract, it states that payments be made by cash or money order to avoid this type of thing, but I have known this client for many years and told her that she could pay by check. Unfortunately, I don't have anything in the contract about insufficient fund fees for any clients who pay by check. That could be bad in the future, so I will likely add it in as soon as possible.
