I got a text from my friend
Susan today, asking if I was available on January 10th to shoot a wedding with her in San Jose. Yay! I'm so excited because I will get a chance to work with Susan again! Last year, she taught me quite a few things about my camera and just shooting in general that have really helped me progress. Now I get to pick her brain even more. :-)
I am hoping to get done with Kevin Kubota's tutorial by that time, and this will probably speed that process up. I will want to be prepared so that I will have the tools necessary to be able to edit my new RAW images I will be collecting while shooting with Susan. One thing that is so good about this experience - whether I am paid or not - is that I will get to practice shooting in RAW before my next wedding season starts. I can go into my next wedding completely comfortable with the idea that I can handle these RAW files once I have captured them.
One thing that will have to change though - I am likely going to have to spend money on new CF cards instead of a new lens. :-( I guess it's ok since I have a few more weddings to collect deposits for, and that might help me get closer to my goal with my lens.
