I'm getting sick. I thought that I would be able to escape it until well into the rainy/winter season, but I think I probably got it from Thayana. She has has a runny nose for the past couple of days, and of course I can't resist kissing on her - she's my little angel. I started to get a sore throat last night while at work, so I took some Nyquil before bed. Then, this morning I drank an Emergen-C 1000 mg Vitamin C packet in some water, took a couple of Germ MD tabs that are supposed to help your immune system, and I'm going to sip some Theraflu Cold and Cough. I can't let this turn into a sinus infection like last time - I don't have the insurance to cover a doctor visit. I'm going to finish watching Rocky II while I sip my Theraflu, but I really need to spend a lot of time editing wedding portraits today. Luckily, my maternity client canceled today - she ended up having the baby this morning. :-)
Tariah seems to be doing well in school, despite how talkative she is. She came home yesterday to tell me that a boy named Dylan told all of his friends that Tariah was his girlfriend. Already?! Am I ready for this? Luckily, my beautiful girl is a smart one. She told me that she didn't want to be his girlfriend. I told her that she could tell him that she wasn't ready for a boyfriend. She says, "Alright, mommy - I will tell him that next time." I love her to pieces. :-)
I have been getting a lot more hours at the 'Bux lately. That place is a madhouse. It's messy, unorganized, and just being run improperly. This is partially because the management is really slacking when it comes to basic store duties. Unfortunately, this all falls back on the supervisors (who are my friends), and they take most of the stress when it comes to whether or not things get done. I feel for them, but it reminds me exactly why I don't want to move up in this company. Anyway, I estimate that I got an extra 7 to 8 hours this week, including a meal break violation last night (which pays an extra hour), AND holiday pay on Monday. This is good news because I have lots of bills to pay.
