Something to be happy about...
With everything crazy that is going on in my life right now, I have to say that I am feeling especially proud of my photography skills. I am glad that Crystal brought that up to me - I have accomplished almost everything I had wanted to at this point in my life. I did expect something a little different in the marriage department, but I guess I can't have it all. :-) Back to the photography, though - as I am editing these portraits, I am just so thrilled with how so many of them came out. And the crazy thing is that this wedding was completely different from any other we have shot, and I had to use light very creatively. I learned from it! So cool! Now I have an extra skill that I can use in order to make any future weddings better than the past. I also have learned something new in Photoshop while I was editing the portraits. I feel SO good about this!
I don't know what I would be doing right now if I hadn't decided that I was going to pursue my passion in college. What kind of degree would I have? Would I be able to use any other degree to the extent that I use the one I have now? Would I have the flexibility to use my skills in a way that works around the time I spend with my children? Probably not. I can't imagine having to work full time and be away from my children.
