Mucho meat-o.
Dinner tonight: Hamburgers with apple slices and cheesecake for dessert. 11 Points.
Today Blaine and I bought $350 worth of meat. Yeah - we are nuts. It was one of those trucks that come around the neighborhood selling beef, and we purchased two cases of it - one of beef (steaks, ground patties, and filet mignon wrapped in bacon), and one of seafood (tilapia, salmon, three types of shrimp, and king crab legs). I see us eating very well for the next couple of months. It is also good that we bought it because I felt like my meals were getting sorta boring. If we aren't eating taco junk or something, we have a lot of chicken, salmon, or steak with baked potatoes and veggies. I need to find some better sides for my meals now that I have this meat thing down!
Thayana is such a good baby lately. She took a three-hour nap and a one-hour nap today, and when she is awake she is generally in a really good mood. She is getting used to not being held as much, and she smiles and laughs a lot. And when I prop her up on the couch, she tries to pull herself into an more upright sitting position. She is a strong little baby. And, of course, she is completely gorgeous. She likes to interact with Tariah, and smiles at her a lot. This pleases Tariah because she loves her little sister so much. According to Tariah, Thayana is "so cute". She kills me.
I finished the huge amount of embossing for my Christmas cards today during Thayana's three-hour nap, so I am excited to be able to start assembling all of the parts tonight. I will be able to send out cards as soon as tomorrow - yay! I LOVE my cards so much this year, but the only problem is with the pictures. For some reason, the wallets came out half the size this year, so they are pretty small. I should have done 4x6 pictures, but I forgot to order them that way. Oh well - I can make larger prints for the people who really care and ask for them.
I can't wait to get started on the scrapbook pages for Blaine's parents. I am in such a mood to scrapbook now that I have read through that book that Crystal got for me. This is going to make it so much easier!!! I also have a plan to stamp a paper with Tariah's handprint and Thayana's footprint and emboss them. Then I will attach them to their pages in the album. That will be so cool - I can't wait!
