My mom wrote me an email telling about her latest fun at work:
I have a message sign outside my office that I can program to say whatever
I want it to.
I wanted to put Merry Christmas but it's not allowed. (Politically
Incorrect! poo) I refuse to put happy holidays and such.
SO: I asked our Public Information Officer what would be allowed. One
person suggested that I put up Merry Christmas in different languages.
Today, it's Arabic. So my sign says: "Idah Saidan Wa Sanah Jadidah"
Then, the first person that complains, I can say, "I'm trying to reach out
to all the non-english speaking employees."
Funny, funny!!
I'm thinking that tomorrow, I will put up Chinese: "Gun Tso Sun Tan'Gung
Haw Sun" or maybe Lithuanian: "Linksmu Kaledu".
