Sept. 6, 2005....The federal Government announced that the rate of Spina Bifida and anencephaly birth defects has fallen by more than a third since the addition in 1998 of Folic Acid to the nation's enriched flours, rice and pastas!
Well...since women won't take the vitamin supplement themselves!!
**If you are of child bearing age and are sexually active...PLEASE take a Folic Acid supplement. The spinal cord forms the first eleven days after conception. The damage is done before you know you know you are pregnant.**
If I would have know that...maybe Hayleigh would not have been born with her SEVEN birth defects and have to live her life with constant pain, life long medications and surgeries. If you love yourself, please do that! It will be one of the most important things you will ever do...I promise!
