Presenting, Thursday, January 26, 2006:
The New Times College Concert Series featuring The Down Home Southernaires
@ FAU in Boca Raton, FL
11am

"From the ashes of Miami's famed, defunct punk-funkers Pygmy come the Down Home Southernaires. Somewhere between The Band and the Pogues, between country rock and white-boy soul, rollicking like a headbanging barn dance, the Southernaires resuscitate the elements of American music they find to be currently absent: tunefulness, soulfulness, wit, and such. The five fellows inject a brash energy into their tunes that's irrestible. This is a band on the rise, one to watch in 06, and we're proud to offer em up to you, ripe for the picking."

Flattering, not too accurate, and looks like some corporate boberia, but it should be a wonderful time. We'll be playing two half hour sets, full of original material, and a couple fun covers.
This event is FREE, so if you can, come on out. You can have lunch in front of us and offer us a taste so we can reply with a modest, "No Thanks".
JUST JIVE!
