I don't NEED an excuse to wear green.

Over Spring Break I was in D.C. visiting Spencer, and needless to say, it rocked. We watched the National Symphony Orchestra play at the Kennedy Center (which is so beautiful, it's worth it just to drive past the Kennedy Center, let alone go in). We also drove two hours south into Maryland where I saw the open ocean for the first time. I collected four exoskeletons of crabs and a huge amount of clam shells and mussel shells. At this ocean stop, we also checked out the largest Civil War prisoner of war camp (Ft. Wagner). Of course, any trip to see the boyfriend is awesome, even if we hadn't have gone on these kick-ass excursions. I love me some Spencer.

Vermillion, on the other hand, well.....uck uck and uck. A quick rundown of frustrating things that have occurred since I've been back:
(1) My ride back from the airport was an hour late because he had been at the bar/pool hall getting intoxicated. Then on the drive home he asks me if he can smoke, but he neglects to say "what" exactly he is going to smoke, so he starts puffing on a blunt with a sack of pot in his lap. Oh, and then he offers me a beer from the collection he's got in the back.
(2) I get a paper back from my speech instructor and she has misspelled the word "cite," instead of writing "you don't need to cite this source anymore," she has written, "you don't need to site this source anymore." So yeah, the person who I'm supposed to be learning from can't even spell cite. I could go on to other words she has misspelled throughout the class, but that would take too much room.
(3) I just found out that I HAVE to go to my lab review next Thursday or else I get dropped. I was hoping to get on the road heading home for Easter Break at 2pm, but now I'll have to wait an extra hour in Vermillion just so I can stop in my lab for 5 minutes. Yeah!

Ugh...well I've done enough bitchin. Tomorrow's Friday, so maybe things will look up! Positive thinking!
