Hello, I'm selling my car-it's a silver Ka, and the mileage is 31472, which is about 40,000 under the average for a car born in 2001. So it's a good one ( Read more... )

It does sound good... jinty June 20 2008, 09:10:52 UTC
...(and I like the fact it has a cassette player cos that's what I use to connect my iPod to, via one of those pretend cassette things!). R and I are considering amalgamating our car ownership cos there's no point in us having two cars when I hardly ever drive mine. But the USP of my car is that it's large enough to go to Ikea or the tip or whatever; and it can also fit four or five people for a journey pretty well enough. You say Gem's car is slightly bigger - what sort of amount of stuff or people can you actually fit in your Ka?

and that's how I'm going to try to do all my big purchases from Ikea thankyewverymuch cos it can be such a nightmare otherwise. You still need to be able to lug some big stuff around sometimes though, to me that's part of the point of having a car at all.

See other comment I made-IKEA stuff generally fits in, but yes, the 3 door thing has become tiresome.

I can fit an entire P.A system in it, or 5 people, or a whole garden load of gardening stuff for the tip. Gems car is a Nissan Micra, which is a tiny bit bigger.
Not big enough for EVERY ikea purchase, but a decent sized 'small car'. The width of Gemma's is better for the big P.A speakers.

Yes we did pass in the aisle. I need to go there and get cutlery, mine is all weird and wrong.
I have nearly finished my little solo album now, feel free to stalk me, I will send you an unfinished copy whenever you like.

Well done you then. I was thinking of talking to Richard about it this evening but sounds like things are moving good & fast for you! We are not in a hurry to change car situation actually but your post did make it sound tempting!
