Bristol Good Friday Meet Up

Mar 30, 2010 22:03

Bristol meet up this Friday. It's a Good Idea.
Meet up in town, do a bit of shopping, a bit of socialising, hit the cinema for either Alice or Clash depending on preference, then either find a pub, kareoke place, or raid someone's pad.
I'm planning to post up on the 'Anyone from Bath' thread on the Expo forum, and drag Ilpala & Leena away from ( Read more... )

I vote Clash because as much as I love JD I want to see Liam Neson as Zues and some fuckoff huge scorpions.

Eh. I'd imagine splitting up is possible anyway, I should really check cinema times...

For cinema times you've got these at the Showcase (big posh one):
Alice in Wonderland [Director’s Hall ]
11:00am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7:00pm, 9:50pm, 12:20am

Alice in Wonderland in Disney Digital 3D [DIGITAL 3D ]
9:20pm, 11:50pm

Clash of the Titans
11:40am, 2:15pm, 4:45pm, 7:25pm, 9:55pm, 12:20am

Clash of the Titans 3D [DIGITAL 3D ]
10:00am, 12:30pm, 3:00pm, 5:30pm, 8:00pm, 10:30pm

And for the Odeon (old but cheap) you've got 8:45 for Clash 3D and 11:10 and 15:30 for Alice.

In terms of prices you've got:
Directors Hall (2D): £13
3D showings: £10
2D showings: £7.50
Odeon 3D: Adult - £7 Student - £6
Odeon 2D: Adult - £5 Student £4

Just to be safe I would suggest deciding on a time and booking tickets asap as it is a Friday, everyone will be off work/school and Clash especially is likely to sell out quickly as it's just come out. >< Don't want to have the same problem as going to see Avatar.

I'm reckoning the 4:30 showing of Alice / 4:45 Clash, then we can split depending on preference and meet up after?

Sounds good to me, as long as everyone is good with that I'll go ahead and book our tickets. We'll probably get out at the same time too so meeting up after shouldn't be a problem.
Our place is still good for the evening too depending on what people want to do. We have both rooms free (no more cosplay stuffs taking over...for now) and can set up the PS3 in the other room if we need to.

When are you going to book? If you're doing it tonight put me down as a student for Alice (unless you can't without the Student ID!)

Can't book students online annoyingly. >< You can book over the phone however so it might be worth checking if you can reserve tickets and then pay for them when we get there?

Okie dokie, cool. I assume you mean you'll but yours & Jacks tickets. I'll get ours too, if people aren't reading this or facebook then... well, they can get some more drinks in.

I'll leave Chibi and yourselves to fight over where we end up in the evening.

Lol that's cool, we'll do whatever people want.

For people booking tickets online, there is a charge of 60p per ticket so it'll cost a bit more. For those booking for Alice you could probably leave it til tomorrow as the directors hall is normally fairly empty.
