Chicago

This past weekend was my trip to Chicago to see my buddy Dave get married.

Andy and I set out at 11am and the traffic was terrible (as to be expected on our way out there). I-94 is the bane of my existence. *shudder* We finally got to the church after sitting in traffic through most of downtown Chicago and we made it to the wedding rehearsal a few minutes before it started. We were both forced to change in the parking lot of the church but there weren't any priests around so I managed to change successfully.

After the rehearsal was the dinner which I ended up getting loaded but it was great to see a few of my old fraternity brothers (who also peer-pressured me into buying a $18 cigar which I enjoyed at the reception on Saturday :)).

The wedding was beautiful, Dave was a nervous wreck but he made it and Kate was gorgeous too. This particular wedding was odd though, it was a day wedding. This was the first wedding I have been to in the day time but really it was drinking in the afternoon followed by dinner then its over by 4pm. There were so many pretty ladies there at the reception, I was forced to make a move or two. After getting shot down repeatedly I decided to hit the bar again before lunch. Some of the guys in the next table met a few girls that lived in Chicago and they made plans for us all to go hang out with them in the evening.

We hung out at the girls' place for a while and had some pizza before we headed out to the bar. We ended up going to a bar party and then a dance club. I was a man who enjoyed his Gin and Tonic ALL day and ALL night long and they got even better since they were all free. :D So yeah, we got free drinks at the bar then headed to the club, where I promptly started dancing with a random girl and we both had a great time. Got back today after fighting traffic and Im really glad to be home. So now, the job hunt continues...

Those of you that I haven't heard from in a while, drop me a reply and let me know what you are up to. I want to see if we can catch up asap!
