Her nails are black, tiny spots of darkness upon pale skin. And she drags them over his chest, his neck, feeling the bones that lie too close to the surface. His lips place hot kisses upon her mouth, smearing the lipstick she had so carefully applied.
She pushes him away, forcing him to his knees. Her eyes are hard and unforgiving, holding a coldness forged with time and circumstance.
“Tell me you’re sorry.”
“Sorry, Miss,” he whispers.
He isn’t. But she finds she no longer cares, lost to a touch she tells herself she doesn’t need.
Hermione is a liar.
