It wasn't a complete success; Monica and Wendell have gaps in their memories that they're both aware of. And, more importantly, they chose not to return to England right away. So Hermione is still going to be without any family on Christmas Day. (Yes, it's very possible that she and Severus will spend the day in bed, but I do think she's missing her parents already.)

We're the Order (and sympathetic Spies). In general, we don't go too dark. (I've brought enough angst into this fic, and we do need to start wrapping up.)

Oh, Sonia, Sonia, Sonia. This is an Order fic, it was never going to go dark. OTOH, Kel has saved you from the horribly fluffy possibility of Hermione and Severus deciding to stay in Australia for a beach weekend with shrimp on the barbie and frolicking in the surf. So it could have been worse.

Now, if the DEs were to organize a round robin ...

Of course it's going to take a while for them to get all the memories back (if ever - it's not like people without memory charms or memory problems remember everything anyway...) and to adjust to living with them, again. But at least it's one big worry less for Hermione, even if she'll still miss them.

And now she has her Severus all to herself. ;-)
