And after a few rounds of drinks, Severus begins to recite poetry. (This has NOTHING to do with me just watching a youtube video of Alan Rickman reciting a poem. Nothing, I tell you!) And then Hermione and mass amounts of fangirls swoon, faint, thud, and voila whoever's left standing gets to put him to bed.

*SQUEE* Don't you just want to hand him a stack of your favorites and tell him to keep going? Also, it did the trick, for sure, as it got me to go to the peaceoneday web site. And that particular poem said in his particular voice... extremely moving.

The man could read the phone book and be moving. Given text like this, he is a weapon. As you say, it's an effective one. I followed the link as well.

May his powers always be used for good. Severus the long-suffering spy I love. Alan Rickman the Dark Lord would be terrifying.

This is audio, but it's squee-worthy nonetheless.

I bought the Thomas Hardy 'Return of the Native' audiobook. I hate Hardy - the Mayor of Casterbridge was nearly enough to send me careening off a tower. It is, however, read by Alan Rickman. I listen to it at work...I don't pay one damn bit of attention to the story, of course, and I try to avoid blushing at my desk so I don't alarm my co-workers. :D

That icon! And all those other quote-y ones! (I just browsed your userpics) Did you make? Do you share?

I'll share, sure! If you'd attribute to me I'd be most grateful!

You make beautiful icons. Thank you so much for sharing.

As for attribution, I never use an icon without credit. It's something I have a real thing about. As a teacher, I'm allergic to anything that even hints at plagiarism.
