But Nagini would have ruined the fun. A couple of bites and then there would be no more torture time for Severus and Hermione. :( I want to abuse Umbridge as long as possible. :)

Thanks. The books had always compared her to a toad. Hermione would have found it quite fitting to turn her into a half-human with those particular qualities.

Now that's a torture fic I can fully support! You've got my mind boggling at the though of a half-Umbridge half-frog. Which half? How do the parts fit together? What kind of frog? *giggles*

Ha! I picture her bottom half as a toad. She's tied up to a chair and her frog legs are kicking out from under a pink cardigan, or something to that effect. That way she can still scream instead of croak. Although something about her throat bubbling out has me giggling, so maybe I picked the wrong part.
