Authors Notes: I had so much fun getting past my post-DH writers block, I thought I'd try another one.
Severus felt the adrenaline coursing through him. It was a scene of pure horror, Deatheaters everywhere, curses flying and that blood-curdling scream. Someone was getting the Crucio. Could it be one of his charges? He must act. Try as he might, he was stuck, as if mired in place, and again that scream!
“Severus, wake up,” Hermione called. “You were thrashing in your sleep again.”
“Who was screaming?” he demanded.
“Just your son. His colic has him up again.” Hermione grumbled.
The babe slung over her shoulder gave another wail.
“Fatherhood will be the death of me yet,” thought Severus.
