Alerted by Mrs. Norris of something requiring his attention, Filch crept through the darkened halls of Hogwarts. Halting in front of him outside the library, Mrs. Norris mewed, her eyes gleaming with the thrill of the hunt.
Taking the skeleton key from the chain around his neck, Filch unlocked the door, bypassing the enchantments placed upon it by the illicit occupant. Or rather, occupants, Filch realised as he caught sight of a couple intertwined against a bookshelf on the far side of the room. Squinting, he was unable to identify the pair, but a Gryffindor tie glinted in the moonlight.

Filch rubbed his hands together gleefully. Exacting revenge upon this pair would be a delight, particularly when they thought their locking and silencing enchantments would hide them.
Shuffling closer, Filch waited until he had stepped beyond the boundaries of the unnatural silence before speaking, interrupting the slap of skin against skin.
“Caught in the act! Detention, and your Head of House will know of this-” Filch choked on his words. “Granger?!” he spluttered, shocked to have caught the Head Girl. Looking at her partner in crime, he was only able to mouth ‘Professor?!’ before Snape levelled his wand.
“Obliviate!”
