"Severus!" the unpleasant voice echoed shrilly in his head. He fought the urge to hex her; instead, he Apparated into his bedroom.
He sat on the bed and tenderly caressed his wife's face. "Isn't your cold gone yet?"
"I've told her to go home."
"But don't you need -"
"I only need you, Severus." Before he could interrupt she continued, "Our daughter, only needs you."
He thought about it. He could do everything they needed, except feed his daughter; but then, only Hermione could do that. "I'll help your mother pack."
Hermione smiled indulgently, and tugged him down for a kiss.
