Authors Notes: We really need a dark challenge for next week... These mushy drabbles are making me nauseous.

PART 1

“Do quit sniveling, Miss Granger…” He sneered. “Your incessant whining is giving the rest of the class a headache.”

Hermione scoffed, overwrought at the injustice of it all. The nerve of that man… She was the one with the flu! The hospital wing had been out of pepperup potion for days! Perhaps she could ask Snape…

“Miss Granger.” Snape smirked. “Ten points from Gryffindor for daydreaming in my classroom. I suggest you take better care of yourself, lest you force me to deplete the entire stock of points from Gryffindor House. We all know what a shame that would be…”

PART 2

Hermione spent the rest of the lesson in silence, trying her best to work on her assignment while her body ached and threatened to collapse before the end of Snape’s lesson.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the bell rang, signaling the end of class.

Hermione bottled her potion and handed it to Snape, afterwards returning to her workspace to tidy up.

“Miss Granger” Snape called.

Hermione sighed. What now…

“Miss Granger, I believe you forgot one of your ingredients on my desk.”

Hermione furrowed her brow. “Sir, I didn’ forget any-”

“Please retrieve it and remove yourself from my presence.”

PART 3

Hermione sighed. She knew that the vial wasn’t hers. She decided that arguing with Snape would only waste valuable time that could be spent asking the rest of the staff if any of them had an extra dose of pepperup available. She retrieved the vial and exited Snape’s class, thankful to be leaving the dungeons, including their resident Black Bat.

When Hermione reached her dorm room, she began unpacking her bag from the day’s classes. She stopped when she reached the small bottle she had taken from Snape’s desk, puzzled. The vial contained a dose of pepperup potion…

Hermione smiled.
