Hermione was busy washing dishes. As menial as it was, sometimes it helped her unwind after being immersed in books.
A black-clad arm then slipped around her waist from behind.
“Good evening, wife,” Severus said silkily to her.
Hermione replied warmly, “Good evening, husband.”
At that, Severus gently tickled her stomach.
She refused to be distracted from her task, but it was always difficult resisting Severus’ playful moods. Besides, she knew such moods were to be treasured - the cold, severe man he had once been would never have permitted such ‘weak’ behavior from himself.
Hermione chuckled. The dishes could wait...
