You Aren't Santa

Characters: Santa/Severus, a little girl, & Hermione
A/N: this is loosely based on personal experience. When I was about 5 or 6, I lived this. This is a DE story due to an arrangement with Serpentrion. And since the codeine has robbed me of my ability to format, here they both are:
You aren't Santa
She was so excited. Her mother was taking her to see Santa Claus. He was going to visit Hogwarts, where her daddy worked.
She nervously walked up to the man in the red suit. She looked back at her mother, eyes wide, when the bearded man asked, "So, what would you like for Christmas little girl?"
"You aren’t Santa. I know it's you, Daddy."
"Why do you think I am your daddy, little girl?"
"Because it’s your voice."
Santa looked at the child’s mother. Hermione was trying to hide her giggle his being figured out by a 5 year old.

Severus glared at his wife as she failed in her attempt to conceal the humor from his predicament. The little girl repeated, "I know it's you, Daddy. Why are you pretending to be Santa?"
Hermione laughed out loud at this. Severus tried to redirect her by asking again what she wanted for Christmas. After several tries to get an answer, Santa made her get down.
Severus looked at Hermione with a look that said, "If you EVER ask me to do this again, I'll kill you!"
Hermione just winked and blew him a kiss as they walked to their rooms.
