I open my eyes. Where am I? I feel disoriented and lost. I must be home. "Severus," I call.
Tonks hurries in. "Hermione, are you... do you need the Healer?"
"Where's Severus?" 'I don't understand. Why is Tonks here?
"Hermione, Severus was fine the last time I saw him, but -"
"Where is he?"
"Hermione, Healer Phelps said you shouldn't be upset. The baby -"
"Tell me please!"
"Severus went after your accuser, but, it's not who he thinks it is."
"Severus can't have done that. He's not fully recovered."
"I know. Remus tried to follow him."
"Tonks, what aren't you saying?"

'I know I'm missing something important. None of this makes sense.' I look at Tonks. "What did you mean, 'not who they appear'? Who is behind this. Tonks looks at me. I see the pain and betrayal in her eyes.
"It was Harry, Hermione."
I feel the impact of her statement like a physical blow. "Harry Potter, one of my best friends, did this to me? Does he hate me that much?" I ask.
"Not you, Hermione. It's Severus he hates. He still blames Severus for Albus's death and for breaking up the golden trio. He blames Severus for everything."

"Tonks, I don't understand. When did Harry start planning this?"
"The information that we've gathered, points to when you healed Severus. He was counting on Severus's death from his injuries. I think that when he found out that you and Severus had married, it enraged him. He planned well. He made sure you'd be arrested when the head of the Wizengamot and the head of Magical Law Enforcement were out of country. He was responsible for the guards that assaulted you. He was disguised as one of them."
"That bastard," I whisper, as a wave of nausea sweeps over me.

I can't get the terrible images of what could be happening to Severus out of my mind. Then, a thought occurs. "Tonks, how was this discovered?"
"Kingsley. He'd been in a coma since the final battle. When he woke he said, 'Potter killed Severus'. He saw Harry cast the hex. Voldemort was already dead. Then Harry hexed Kingsley, because he realised he had been seen. The trail lead to you accuser, Healer Kinpy. Harry told him terrible lies about you. Harry fooled him. He fooled us all. We were blind. He's turned Dark, Hermione. And no one saw it."
