The game began again. She would sit primly on a bench by the pumpkin patch. She'd decline each pumpkin her brothers pointed out as; too small, to big, or the wrong shape.
Finally, she'd go into the patch herself, to find the perfect pumpkin. Her brothers would all vie to be the one to cut it for her; but, she would never allow it. Instead, the boys would fetch their father for her; only he would do.
"Severus," Hermione called to her husband, "the boys are running towards the house. It's time to get the pumpkin."
"Insufferable children." He smiled.
