Oh, no. He may not have been in many reltionships, but he knew that line. He had watched many a teenage boy perish before that very question. And now, Hermione was asking him.
They were having a perfectly good evening and were about to attend a Ministry ball, when she asked that. His young wife, now six months pregnant, wanted to know if she look fat.
Caught between a rock and a hard space, Severus relied on his voice to get him through this.
“You look magnificent as ever, my dear.”
