Peter Pettigrew’s gaze upon a captured Hermione was greedy.
“I have been a faithful servant… the Dark Lord will surely reward me with my own witch…”
Though a wandless prisoner, Hermione was still defiant.
“Over my dead body,” she snapped, her skin crawling at his words.
“You presume too much, Wormtail,” Snape said coldly as he stepped from the shadows.
Hermione swallowed but refused to flinch.
“Miss Granger, you will certainly live,” Snape said smoothly, his eyes glinting at her. “The Dark Lord has seen fit to reward me… with you.”
Hermione felt shock inside and worse, a guilty interest…
