A/N: Happened to me today, but with no magical involvement!
Hermione swore softly as she picked herself up from the ground. Her right knee was skinned bloody from her impact with the ground and her palms stung from the force of breaking her fall. She was still slightly breathless and slightly disoriented.
Puzzled, she glanced at the step behind her. She had entered Grimmauld Place hundreds, perhaps thousands of times and had never missed that step. Severus would amusedly say that she was "distracted".
She sensed malevolence and turned, too slow to actually catch any misdeed, but quick enough to see Kreacher's spiteful smile as he winked out of sight.
