Snape came to a sudden halt, then turned on his heel in the direction of the exclamation. Such high deductions were rare.
In the doorway to a recently reassigned classroom stood Professor Longbottom and his own research assistant, Hermione Granger. She was taking a small jar from the Herbologist’s hand.
“What is going on here?” Snape snapped, making both of them jump.
“Oh, Se-Prof-Headmaster Snape, Neville got those Venomous Tentacular thorn tips needed for your project. Fifty of them!”
Ah! But why...
“Fifty points… from Slytherin?" Snape queried.
“A n-nickname, sir- my best vine,” Neville stammered.
