It was Christmas and Professor Granger was in the staff room, drinking tea. Their Slytherin-themed Christmas tree was in the corner.
She had to admit it looked quite nice in its green and silver - not that she would say it aloud to Headmaster Snape, of course.
The Headmaster chose that moment to walk into the staff room. On seeing her, he said smoothly, “Don’t you have a classroom to be in?”
“Oh, I was just looking at the tree…”
Snape looked smug.
“…and thinking how it would look better in red and gold,” she added lightly.
Snape glowered at her.
