Married for twenty years to Severus Snape and she was still nervous when night fell before he returned home. Hermione knew that if that happened the Headmaster would be horrid company for the rest of the night. That is unless she could fix his mood with his favorite blends of tea and biscuits.
Moments after she laid out a setting for her husband, she heard him 'land' on their front door stoop. She breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't see that his eyes were narrowed nor his mouth set in a frown.
“That dunderhead Boxley is worse than Longbottom ever dreamed to be.”

“Tea,” Hermione asked hoping to deflect his mood towards the beverage.
There was something horribly wrong with him. He was not as somber as he normally was.
Oh dear! They'd done it to him again!
“Fifth years and their budding romances,” he said to her as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. Really, really close.
“Tea, Severus! It'll take the edge off the Love Potion!”
Severus smirked in response and he leaned closer to kiss her. “I'm not in the mood for tea.”
It was going to be a long night!
