Tears swim in my eyes as he cups my cheek.
"You're beautiful," he says in that rich deep voice I know so very well. He seems unsure of himself. "May I kiss you, Hermione?"
"Yes, Severus," I whisper, and the tears fall, disappearing into my snowy hair.
It's our first kiss and it's beautiful.
Just like it is every morning when he wakes up, confusion etched into the familiar wrinkles of his dear face and I have to tell him I'm his wife.
He lights up and kisses me like I am the most precious gift in all the world.
