A blue insulated lunch bag drops to the table and a bushy-haired witch plops into the chair across from me.
She blurts out brightly, "I'm using you."
I stare, confused. "I beg your pardon?"
"I like to read during lunch but people will insist on bothering me! Nobody bothers you, so I'm going to take advantage of that. If I sit with you during lunch, maybe I can read a whole chapter before somebody screws up the courage to come over here." She smiles.
I notice a young wizard edging towards our table. I glare and he turns away.
