He hears them cackling and whooping as they shift round him, unable to get a fix on them, His eyesight blurs as his head throbs, palms scuffed and knees crying out in agony as he is driven across the floor. Suddenly someone is at his hip, then once again he is mounted, his head pulled back hard by his hair. He can stand it no longer, and cries out for solace.
"Hermione!"
His angel. "Okay, kids, enough 'Riding the Thestral'. Tea's on the table."
He slumps to one side, muttering. "Tell me again, why did we want children?"
