NOTE: Hermione snoops through his personal books to see any personal notes from gift-givers.. She gets busted while browsing through a love spells and potions book that was dedicated to him by a female potions mistress. He is not amused at having his personal life invaded and she is curious about what he had done to have the book dedicated to him, not just to have a gift note hand-written in the front.. I love this book, it really DOES have love spells and potions ingredients on the pages, not that you can see that from this angle.
Also, canon Hermione braids her hair all the time to tame it. This is one of the few times I actually have given her canon hair.
