Filch hurried and followed Mrs. Norris down the spiral stairwell towards the dungeons.
“Rowwr”
The caretaker smiled maliciously. “Ah, found a couple of students out past curfew, did you?” The thought of sending a few pompous witches or wizards to do his bidding was enough to make him giddy with delight.
A sudden shriek rang out, giving Filch pause. Carefully, he descended the last few slippery steps, hearing muffled groans and sighs coming from the shadowed corridor ahead. He peered around the corner, his eyes widening at the sight of Professor Snape and Professor Granger in a most compromising position.
