He realised his mistake as he felt the tug inside. Granger had been right about it being a long time since his spying days; certainly he'd have been more cautious then.
He dropped the basket portkey and crouched into a defensive stance as he appeared outdoors, only to find the aggravating witch herself, seated on a blanket.
"I see you've finally brought the picnic," she said, rising and walking to him. "You shouldn't keep me waiting, Severus. You've only yourself to blame when I take action."
As her lips touched his, the tug inside was another type of magic altogether.
