It seemed they had company for their annual pilgrimage this year.
Beneath the invisibility cloak, Severus’ heart grew heavy as they watched a redhead and brunette Apparate away, kissing. In their snowy wake, a famous family tableau reformed into an icy obelisk.
‘Was she thinking of Weasley, wishing Miss Brown was she?’
Luminous brown eyes spoke to his, snowflakes sat heavy on her lashes. “She doesn’t know what the war cost. He doesn’t remember,” she smiled, “but we do, Severus”
As Hermione burrowed her face in his scarf and invaded the winter overcoat he wore, Severus felt his heart soaring.
