Snape watched silently, a disillusionment charm making him invisible to the couple at the door.
“Thank you, Lucius. I had a lovely time.” Hermione said extending her hand.
Severus watched as the other man’s lips twitched fleetingly into a frown before he gallantly kissed her hand. “The pleasures all mine, my dear. May I come in for a moment? I hate for the night to end so soon.”
A smile, a nod in the negative, and she disappeared through her door.
Tomorrow would prove interesting, Malfoy no doubt elaborating their goodbyes, but he knew now -her heart belonged to him.
