Professor Granger greeted the young man brusquely.
Before he could speak she asked, “Is that your lesson plan?”
He nodded nervously.
She grabbed it and as she read it she began to tsk disapprovingly. He felt like he couldn’t breathe and began to adjust his collar nervously.
“Mr. Johnson, I’m going to give you a chance. While your curriculum vitae is very impressive we still expect much from our professors. Our last potions master-” her voice cracked. After blinking away several tears she said, “Well, I mean to say Mr. Johnson you have some very large shoes to fill.”
