Hermione stood in the dark hallway leading from Snape’s kitchen, a cluster of herbs clenched in her fist. She’d been in the herb garden behind Spinner’s End collecting fresh herbs for Severus’ supply cupboard.
Hearing Ron’s voice as she entered surprised her at first. Why was Ron here? Had something happened? To Harry or Ginny? But when she overheard Ron’s real purpose her heart clenched, her lungs tightened, a chill washed over her. How could he? Why would he? This is insane.
Her thoughts raced, and then the rage and fury engulfed her. “Ronald Weasley! How dare you, you fuckwit!”
