She entered the congested atrium, another figure shrouded in black. The same disguise looked back at her, each face covered identically in the Ministries pathetic attempt to equalize the magical population. Didn’t they realize this was scarily reminiscent of Voldemort? A mask wouldn’t erase the very real prejudices between the classes.
She searched the edges of the ballroom expecting him to be alone, a firewhiskey in hand, his posture exuding boredom.
So when she discovered him bending over a petite witch offering his arm to dance she found it hard to breathe.
It is the green-eyed monster which doth mock.
