“What are you doing here?” he whispered, glaring.
“I’m fine. How did you recognise me?”
He inspected the book in her basket. “It’s impossible that another person plans to read Evolving Magical Theory in Asia Minor: 1243-1644.”
“Why not? It was a terribly interesting time and...”
“Spare me your lecture, Hermione. What are you doing here?”
“I’m shopping.”
“In Knockturn Alley.”
“It’s the only place to... never mind.”
“To what?”
“Severus, do you want a pair of Siberian Doxies or not?”
“I told you not to try to find replacements. Next time ask before you clean out my storage room.”
