Hermione yelped in surprise at the sound of the door opening. She spun around with wide eyes. Severus had come to inquire where the bloody hell his cloak had been. She was clutching it in her hands.
His growing scowl halted as he took in her appearance. Her cheeks were blushing and her eyes were glowing. Red lips. Her hair was mussed. Severus gazed at her and flared his nostrils. She gripped the cloak tighter.
"I'm sorry," she started, "I didn't mean..."
He marched over to her and took the cloak. It was damp where his hand touched.
He smirked.
