Snape was one who disliked unnecessary luxury. True, his clothes were of quality cloth, but were in an austere style. No one could conclude from his appearance that his thoughts veered from anything logical and unsentimental.
Sometimes, though, other thoughts intruded into his head... regrettable, perhaps, but true.
Having finished his nightly patrol, Snape found his footsteps hastening as he returned to his quarters and his wife, Hermione. Their four poster bed with fine sheets, cosy coverings, feather-filled pillows and warm welcoming wife...
He had concluded that one always needed a place in ones life for 'fluffy' things.
