[Sirius was totally just talking a walk in his dog form in the newly un-ocean-nized Safezone. Being a merman thing was pretty cool, but he did prefer walking to swimming. And after a week with no legs, he felt like he needed to stretch them out.]
[So a walk out as Padfoot was just what the healer ordered.]
[It didn't take him long to run into Roy, but the moment he saw the other man was the exact moment one of the Fire Alchemist's explosions went off. And seeing that he was a good distance from Roy...meant that he was fairly close to the explosion point.]
[So the startled yelp of a dog is probably audible to Roy.]
[Shit, he thought the dogs were inside! Sickened at the thought that he hurt one of them, Roy stumbles to his feet and heads in the direction he heard the yelp.]
[It only takes Sirius a few seconds to recover from that and once he does he turns to face Roy. He notices then that Roy seems different and his walking strangely. And then it clicks in his mind that Roy looks like a blind man...]
[Merlin, this place really is a bitch sometimes.]
[He takes pity on the man and closes the distance between them on his own, so that Roy doesn't trip over anything. Once he's in front of the alchemist, he lets out a loud bark to alert him of his presence.]
[He can't really answer that question, or at least give him an answer that he'll understand, so Sirius just lets out another few barks and wags his tail.]
[This was similar to how they met the first time and he's curious as to how this is going to go this time.]
[Sirius walks to Roy's side without any sound and stands there for a few seconds before looking up at the blind man, waiting for him to take a hold of his fur or something so he can steer him back to Riza's home. He lets out a small bark to get Roy's attention.]
[Yeah, Sirius doesn't need a description. Once Roy has a hand on his head, he starts in the direction of the house with no doubt in his mind or in his steps as to where he is going.]
[While inside, she's been watching Roy from the windows, just to make sure she can be by his side quickly in case anything happens, but also to give him enough space to feel like he has privacy.
But she sees Sirius. And she knows he's up to something.
For a second her chest twinges because of this scene, so similar, and yet painfully different now. Riza isn't sure if she wants to open the door just yet, if she wants to pretend some more when that's all she's been doing since he came back. Hell, that's what she's been doing her whole life.
Sirius should know how painful it is for her to relive this. He's probably one of the few people left in Adstringendum who knows how close she and Roy had been.
If she could just...ignore him, just one time.
But she can't leave Roy out there with a strange dog. Again, she puts on a strong face, if only for herself, and answers the door before bending down to pet Sirius.]
Oh! You've brought home a stray! Thank you, Sirius, you're quite helpful.
[Sirius' tail wags enthusiastically as Riza pets him. She didn't look too happy with him at the moment, but that just made him more determined to help her out.]
[So, if he needed to bum at her house for a week or so in his dog form, then so be it. He liked making Riza smile, after all. He could help!]
Mn. We've been acquainted for a while now. His name is Sirius, obviously, and he's sort of the neighborhood dog. Everyone likes him, but not enough to really take him in.
[She stands up and leans closer to Roy, whispering loudly enough for Sirius to hear...]
[Oh that was completely uncalled for, Riza, and you know it. Sirius just gives her a look before letting out a pathetic doggy whine. One that would help him weasel his way into Roy's heart and get him into the house for a few days.]
[So a walk out as Padfoot was just what the healer ordered.]

Are you all right?
[Stupid. Talking to a dog.]

This didn't feel like Black Hayate or Dakota.]
...who are you?
[He feels around for a collar, though it's not like he'd be able to read it.]

[And sorry Roy, there are no tags to be found!]

Well. I'm glad you're okay.
[He turns to leave, then realizes that he's become disoriented. He doesn't know which direction to go for the house.]
Perhaps you could lead me to the house? Dogs are good at that, aren't they?

Let's hope you lead me to the right house. I'd describe it for you, but...

Perhaps I could use him as a seeing-eye dog.

Fortunately, Black Hayate and Dakota have proved themselves more or less useless.]
Fleas? They can be treated, can't they? He seems pretty smart for a dog. You don't want to have to hold my hand everywhere.
