Maaasttterrr....
[The first thing that comes through the PCD is Fran's ever so lovely voice. Complaining.]
I've had a year to practice, you know. I'm probably better than you at this point. I'm older than you now too.
[The video feed finally clicks on to show Mukuro and Fran opposing each other, Fran sitting on the ground with arms around his knees. He looks a bit bored, really. The lot that they stand (well, stand and sit) in seems to be a former parking lot- but it's too sparse to tell anything else about it. The area is completely empty- a rather odd place for a training ground. ]
Maybe I should be teaching you~
[Mukuro laughs, leaning casually on his trident.] I can only imagine how tedious that would be. Now show me what you can do, little one. Build on my illusions.
[Suddenly they're within a large room, the stone walls cracked in some places, bits of moss crawling up others. It's indistinguishable from the real thing. Mukuro seems to be making very little effort at all as he expands upon the room, the ceiling stretching high above them, stained glass windows growing in the walls. The room is broken down and old, looking like it's been there forever. One of the windows breaks, a vine growing through it, and dust covers the sills.]
Your turn.
[For a moment, Fran ignores the quip, instead looking around at his surroundings. He doesn't seem surprised in the slightest at the sudden change, but his interest does seem to be peaked.]
As I said before, I'm the older one. You should be "little one".
[He stands up, snaps his fingers for extra effect-]
[And the stained glass windows burst instantly, the walls surrounding them twisting and turning, concrete breaking down and realigning itself into stairs that protrude from each surface. They go up, down, sideways, through each other- there doesn't seem to be a logical explanation to how these stairs are existing. They look as old as the room itself, cracked and broken even if they were just created moments ago.]
[Immediately jumping upward, Fran lands upside-down on a staircase above him, walking casually against gravity, only to reach the window where that single vine was. Pulling out a familiar looking knife, he slashes at it in a fluid motion.]
Too easy~
[Mukuro smiles, pleased. At least Fran isn't completely useless.]
I've lived many more lives than you.
[Once again, Mukuro doesn't move at all, merely glancing at the room around them before it twists again, the concrete stairs turning into delicate glass creations that look like they'd shatter at the slightest touch. They hold Fran's weight easily.]
And I'm taller, too.
[As with the first changing of the scenery, Fran's eyes go to his surroundings first before they do back to the other boy.]
Ah, a mere technicality.
[Staring at Mukuro for a second, he smirks slightly, and jumps up and down on the glass. In a chain reaction it shatters into millions of pieces, yet he stands still. The shards float upwards by themselves, angle toward Mukuro and charge for him-]
[....Only to morph into a single mass as they reach his head, forming what seems to be a glass sculpture of a
very large fruit hat on his head- an unrealistically large pineapple placed as the center piece.]
Maybe this will stunt Master's growth, or keep those grotesque thoughts in.
[Mukuro's smile flickers and disappears for an instant. Then the hat dissolves into grains of sand and blows away, and his smile returns - with a bit more teeth behind it this time. His eyes narrow, and he looks at Fran.]
[And in an instant, Fran's frog hat has turned into a
round red apple.]
Your lesson this week is find out how to break my illusion. [Mukuro laughs, of course.] Have fun.
